In addition to the typically sweeping Sauerland landscape of hills, forests and valleys, secluded roads and challenging trails offer optimal conditions. The Bigge-Lister-Höhenroute is divided into a challenging high-altitude route and an idyllic lake route. Hiking experience
Hikers have the opportunity to explore the landscape around Biggesee and Listersee on the Bigge-Lister Trail, partly on flat routes directly along the lake and partly on challenging high-altitude routes. You may come across galloping hay bales on the KulTour, an art and landscape circular trail along the Lister, or you can set off from the Biggequelle in Wenden-Römershagen.
Olpe, Attendorn, Meinerzhagen and Wenden also have numerous and varied hiking trails to discover. The Waldweg Grenzenlos forest trail in Olpe offers a barrier-free circular trail.
View experience
The hiking trails in the Biggesee-Listersee nature discovery area offer fantastic views, for example on the Sauerland Höhenflug or on the spectacular Aussichtsplattform Biggeblick in the Waldenburg Bay near Attendorn. Another viewpoint is the Aussichtsturm Wenden-Heid.

For sailors, divers, surfers, anglers and swimmers, there are numerous opportunities around the lake. There are many dreamy bathing spots in the Biggesee-Listersee nature adventure area. Of course, you can also experience the Biggesee from a completely different perspective - on one of the White Fleet ships. From mid-April to mid-October, it's "Ahoy - welcome aboard!"
