Arnsberg-Neheim

In 1358, Count Gotfried IV. Neheim the city rights and lays the foundation for an exciting history. The last great town fire in 1807 almost completely destroyed the town. But the people of Neheim rebuilt their town and set new accents with trade and commerce. Today, Neheim is widely known as the "City of Lights" and as a vibrant shopping center, and its regional lighting industry has earned it economic recognition beyond the borders of Westphalia.
