Do you fancy an informative cycle tour? No problem, why not go for a ride in the "Werler Kleeblatt" and get to know the landscape, nature and interesting facts about agriculture in the town of Werl. The Werler Kleeblatt consists of four cycle tours entitled: "Windmiller" - "Salt in Werl" - "Battle of the birch tree" - "Wide view and sauerkraut". Together, the four tours through the city form the classic shape of a cloverleaf, the "Werler Kleeblatt". It is possible to combine the routes individually or with the other circular tours. By staying in a comfortable hotel, interested guests can also explore the historic town center and the basilica of the pilgrimage town of Werl.
The "Werler Kleeblatt" tells the story of the beautiful Hellwegbörde: On the four themed circular routes through the Werl urban area, you will come across lots of interesting facts about culture, nature and agriculture.
The 4 themed routes each have their own name and are marked with different colors.
The tours in the "Werl Kleebatt" are between 17 and 22 km long and suitable for participants of all ages, especially families with children. All tours start and end at Werl's leisure pool. To the south of the building, at the barrier to the sports park, there is a large start board with information.
Please note: Following the consecutive numbering in the route map, all four tours in the "Werler Kleeblatt" are only signposted and accessible in one direction.
Every year, guided tours also take place under the motto "Summer tours in the Werler Kleeblatt", during which additional explanations are given by expert guides about special features along the way. The tours last approx. 3 hours.
The route flyer with further information on features along the route is available from the town information office or at www.werl.de.
