Everywhere in Antfeld you can find evidence of the history of the former slate mining village. Already since the Middle Ages the people of Antfeld settled here at the foot of the Hamberg. Above the roofs rises the castle of the von Papen family.
From here, the magnificent Altstadt of Brilon can be reached via junction 51 - 48. If you are planning a day trip, continue to junction 12 (MöhnetalRadweg) and from there across the Möhnesee to Arnsberg. The regular connections allow a return by train.
In the opposite direction is the RuhrtalRadweg, which also leads to the beautiful Altstadt in Arnsberg via Meschede (junctions 18 Nuttlar and 20 Bestwig).
