The village of Endorf had its heyday in ore mining in the 18th century, the history of which is told today in the local history and hunting museum "Alte Schmitte". Traces of the Sauerland mining industry can also be found in the beautiful nature around Endorf. The guest who hikes through the village of Endorf will pass by Kloster Brunnen, a monastery from the 18th century. A look into its chapel is also worthwhile, because there is a valuable altarpiece from the Rubens school. Also worth a visit is certainly the oldest still preserved stone farmhouse of the Electoral Cologne Sauerland, the "Strackenhof".
