Welcome to Winterberg, the highest town in North Rhine-Westphalia! The designation "internationally known winter sports resort" still applies today, thanks to the artificial ice rink for bobsleigh, luge and skeleton and the ski lift carousel, the largest contiguous ski area north of the Alps. The starting point for the RuhrtalRadweg is only about 300 meters south of here. With the Rothaarsteig and the Winterberger Hochtour, hiking enthusiasts will find certified quality trails; in total, the hiking network covers more than 460 kilometers. The spa and vitality park invites you to linger, offers a playground and a fin track that is easy on the joints. In the "Musikgarten" regular concerts take place on Saturdays and Sundays during the warm season. The "Schwimmbad Winterberg" and the tourist information are located in the Oversum complex.
