The street "Am Waltenberg" is popularly known as the "Winterberg Boulevard", here you will find numerous shopping and gastronomic establishments, which continue in the "Hauptstraße". The intervening square of the "Untere Pforte" is today car-free and is used for the weekly market and events. Via the Waltenberg, on the way to the Kahler Asten, the most famous mountain in NRW, you also come to the St. Georg ski jump, the Winterberg ski area, the Kappe adventure mountain and the Winterberg trail park. The entrance to the bike path to Züschen and further to Hallenberg is only 2 minutes away.
