Hallenberg and its districts are particularly characterized by their scenic richness. Panoramic peaks alternate with idyllic valleys, deep green mixed forests with open field landscapes, nature reserves and bird sanctuaries with historic village centers and attractive sights. The further course of the cycle path leads over a disused railroad line along the Hessian border with a wide view over the valley of the Nuhne. The "Nuhnewiesen" is the largest contiguous mowing meadow area in NRW and is one of the most important breeding areas of the highly endangered whinchat.
