Here you are at the Lister wall on the northern side of the Listersee. From here, the bike path leads west to the Schnütgenhof bathing area and east in the direction of Meinerzhagen - Hunswinkel. The Listersee was dammed from 1909 to 1912. The dam crest is 264 m long and 6 m wide. Besides power generation and low water elevation of the Ruhr, the reservoir is used for recreational purposes. Swimming as well as water sports are allowed. Around the Listertalsperre campsites and vacation apartments invite to comfortable vacations.
