Here you are on the Biggesee peninsula Sonderner Kopf, which is home to the Biggesee-Sondern recreation facility with a spacious camping area, a store and catering facilities. Especially in the summer months, the Biggesee becomes a water sports paradise here. The public bathing area has lake access for swimming, surfing, paddling and rowing. On the beautiful sunbathing lawn it is especially good to relax. If you go around the peninsula in a southerly direction, you will reach the Olpe district of Sondern after about 2 kilometers. Sondern is the only place at the main basin of the dam with direct access to the water. Here you will find refreshment facilities, a boat rental, a miniature golf course and the main landing stage of the Biggesee passenger boat service. If you follow the route further over the valley bridge, you will find another information point at the forebay of the Bremge district of Attendorn.
