On the mountain in front of us the noblemen of Hundem, called Pepersack, built the castle Borghausen in the 14th century, which secured the entrance to the Repetal and existed until about 1600. Since 1890 Borghausen was known for the large marble and granite factory, which was established here by the Dassel company from Allagen and existed until about 1930. Leaving Borghausen in the direction of Attendorn, you will pass through other beautiful villages of the Repetal. The federal gold village of 2009 Niederhelden forms the center of the valley. Enjoy old half-timbered houses and lovingly designed gardens. The largest village of the Repetal is Helden with its ancient parish church and the impressive crypt.
