Anröchte

The municipality of Anröchte, with about 11,000 inhabitants, is located on a valuable green sandstone deposit in the southeast of the district of Soest, on the edge of the Sauerland. In the center of the community is the St. Pankratius church, which was built around 1180 from this green sandstone and is also worth a visit inside. Around the ten parts of the village, there are well-developed cycling and hiking trails to discover the diverse flora and fauna. Day tourists can walk in the footsteps of history - Anröchte is rich in listed buildings, here the Kurkölnische Amtshof, located in the center, is particularly worth mentioning. In the center of Anröchte, the local history society runs a stone museum, which can be visited barrier-free and for a small donation. The municipality of Anröchte has an outdoor swimming pool, which provides cooling and fun in the summer.
