Werl's old town, with its striking buildings and charming alleys, is characterized by its salt history, which is still commemorated today by the spa park with its old trees and Gradierwerk. The former military site behind the green sandstone wall on the opposite side of the street now houses, in addition to residential areas, the KonWerl industrial park with green areas that also provide space for recreation. The street is lined by an old avenue of linden trees registered in the Alleenkataster NRW. North of it is the listed building of the prison.
