To the south runs the Ahse River with the "Ahsewiesen Nature Reserve". Towards the west you reach a 9-meter high lookout tower, which offers a wide view over meadows and pastures. Birds can be observed here without being disturbed. As part of the project, additional floodplain landscapes that can be experienced and attractive nature observation opportunities for visitors to the Lippe and Ahse floodplains were created. The Auenland bike path links these points together.
