Welcome to the county seat of the Märkischer Kreis. With an altitude difference of over 300 meters only in the city area (232-539 m above sea level) you are on challenging cycling terrain. Here at the Silberg, mining was carried out in earlier times and - as the name suggests - mainly silver was sought. Adit entrances still exist, but are blocked. The Silberg is surrounded by legends about creatures that guard their treasures in the mountain.
