New tour map "Sauerland" from the Bielefeld publishing house
The Sauerland is biker country. But not only mountain bikers and road cyclists will find their perfect tour in the Bike Arena Sauerland, also for touring cyclists and e-bikers, the core leisure region is worth a trip. In addition to longer cycling routes, such as the RuhrtalRadweg or the SauerlandRadring, many short routes and paths offer opportunities, some of them with low gradients. The most important tourist bike routes can now be found at a glance in the new regional map of the ADFC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrradclub) at a scale of 1:75,000, published by Bielefelder Verlag.
"This product complements the Sauerland's cycling tourism offerings and offers the large target group of touring cyclists the opportunity to explore the entire Sauerland from Hagen to Marsberg or from Lippstadt to Olpe by bicycle. This is because the regional map is ideal for planning day trips," notes Daniel Wegerich, project manager of Sauerland-Radwelt. In addition to selected themed bike routes, this map also depicts the complete ADFC bike route network, with signage, route conditions and traffic intensity marked. For better orientation, selected street names are integrated into the cartography. And to ensure that the map lasts a long time even with intensive use, it is made of tear- and weather-resistant paper. In addition, the Bielefeld publishing house offers free GPS tracks and elevation profile images of the themed routes and ADFC tour suggestions for download.
