The "Station am See" is located directly on the Esmecke-Stausee reservoir near Wenholthausen and offers a pleasant rest stop for hikers, cyclists, swimmers and anglers. The Biergarten under old trees offers both sunny and shady spots with a view of the lake or the surrounding landscape.

The gastronomic offer includes classic snack dishes such as bratwurst, chips and patties, vegetarian dishes as well as freshly baked cakes, pastries and waffles. Orders are placed directly at the kiosk and food and drinks are brought to the table.
The toilets are open to the public - regardless of consumption.
The "Station am Esmecke-Stausee Stausee" is open at weekends from November to April. In summer, the hut is open from Tuesday to Sunday, Monday is a day off.
