The biggest attraction and clearest sign of prehistory is the "windmill", with its keeper's cottage. Both are located at the end in the north-west of the park. It is actually a so-called wind pump for the permanent pumping of brine to the Gradierwerk. It served as a substitute for manual or animal power. It is therefore one of the few technical relics from the actual salt works operation.
What makes the spa park in Unna so special are the preserved relics of the original park, which once contained water features, statues, ponds, grottos and more. The small Monopteros, a white round temple, is particularly worth seeing. It stands near the Effertz and Grillo monuments in front of the salt office (Amtshaus) and boiling inspector's house. The buildings are currently used by the Gesellschaft für Wertstoff- und Abfallwirtschaft Kreis Unna (GWA).
