The Lenhausen run-of-river power station, built in 1928 and a listed building, impresses with its castle-like quarry stone façade on the Lenne. The machine equipment is largely original, supplemented by an electronic control system that was renewed in 2007. A 2.3-kilometer-long upper ditch feeds the water to the power plant via an intake screen with automatic cleaning. An average of 4.9 million kWh of electricity is generated here every year, which underlines its continued technical and historical relevance.
