The SauerlandRadring presents itself as a well thought-out themed route that opens up the charming landscape of the Sauerland on former railroad lines. This circular tour, starting from various access points in places such as Finnentrop, Eslohe, Schmallenberg and Lennestadt, allows for flexible exploration. Along the way, evidence of the railroad's past is revealed, including historic signaling systems, authentic wagons and steam locomotives. The Kückelheim Fledermaustunnel is also a remarkable architectural element. The route along former railroad lines ensures a comfortable exploration of the diverse region, which is known as the land of a thousand mountains. This opens up wide views, combined with a moderate topographical design of the developed routes. There are also a variety of places to stop for refreshments along the route.
