4FACHWERK presents art exhibitions, readings and much more on the premises of the former Freudenberg City Museum. However, 4FACHWERK not only shows art, but also invites people to actively engage in cultural activities.
In January 2014, the association 4FACHWERK Mittendrin Museum was founded with the aim of maintaining and further developing the town museum as the focal point of Freudenberg in the half-timbered house at Mittelstraße 4. The house has now become a lively meeting place for art, culture and history.
On 4 floors in 4 areas a "Mittendrin Museum", a house for art, history, creativity and tradition has been created as a place where you can discover (architectural) history locally in the middle of the Old Town, get a desire for and understanding of the immediate surroundings.
A gallery for art exhibitions, a workshop for own creativity, a room for the town history and a place for the fascinating exhibits of former Siegerland watchmakers form the four areas.
