Bad Laasphe memorial viewpoint with panoramic view of the town

Not far from the city center is the Lahnstadt spa gardens. The memorial was erected here in memory of fallen war victims. It is located high up on rocky ground above the town and offers a beautiful view of the Altstadt and Wittgenstein Castle opposite. It is very easy and barrier-free to reach and is worth a short detour from a tour of the spa gardens or the many hiking trails that lead along it. A little tip for photographers: the best light is found here in the morning, but it is also worth a visit in the evening. The illuminated Wittgenstein Castle is a wonderful motif - and not just for photographers.
