The Bismarckturm is still owned by the city. From 1988 to 1995, there were regular opening hours for visiting the monument. Visiting the inside and climbing the tower is only possible after contacting the city information office in advance. The building is also opened on several Sundays between April and September by the Pater Beda action group.
A special feature of the Bismarckturm is that it has a photovoltaic system with eight modules on the roof to generate electricity. These modules power a relay radio station for amateur radio and are not visible to visitors from below.
The square substructure stands on a square foundation with a side length of 7.5 meters. The viewing platform is 11 m high and can be reached via a stone staircase with 44 steps and a spiral staircase with 13 steps. The tower is 14.5 m high in total.
- Outside viewing possible at any time
- Tower ascent by prior arrangement with the Iserlohn City Information Office
