The "Grenzgeschichten hautnah" ("Border stories up close") project from the municipality of Kirchhundem was among the winners of the "TourIS" competition as part of the Ziel2 "Sauerland hiking workshop" project organized by Sauerland Tourism. In addition to the financial support from the competition, the project was financially supported by the Friends and Sponsors of the Rhein-Weser-Turm, the Fereinregion Kirchhundem e.V. community tourism association, the Rothaargebirge Nature Park, the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe and the district of Olpe.
