Watch out! If you want to find the Hufeisenstein and its history, leave the Rothaarsteig access trail at the "Hufeisenstein" signpost and take hiking trail A 1 towards the Haberg nature reserve for a few meters. At the height where a forest path branches off to the right, after a few steps turn left "through the bushes" to the Kurze Dörbach and recognize the Hufeisenstein with a trained eye.
