These rock formations are made of porphyry and were able to resist weathering better than the surrounding rock masses. The four largest Bruchhauser Steine were given the names Bornstein, Feldstein, Goldstein and Ravenstein. At a height of 727 m, the Feldstein is the highest and is accessible. At the top, you have a great view of the rocks, the Ruhrtal valley and the Rothaargebirge mountains. You can find out more about this geotope at the information center.
