Heinrichshöhle

Cave

Only in Hemer! The stalactite-decorated realm of the cave bear at the foot of the sea of rocks

The Heinrichshöhle is adorned with fantastic stalactite formations and has fissures up to 20 m high in its rear area. The cave is famous for its rich finds of bones from Ice Age animals such as cave bears, mammoths, giant deer, cave hyenas, woolly rhinoceroses and many more. A 2.35 m long cave bear skeleton and a lifelike model of a cave bear are particularly impressive.
