The Schlade hiking parking lot is located on the L842 highway between Neuenrade-Affeln and Allendorf.
From here you can reach the Sauerland-Höhenflug long-distance hiking trail (Wanderbares Deutschland quality trail) in just a few steps. The Affeln circular trail AR1 with a length of almost 22 km leads directly past the parking lot.
Small circular trails (A trails) of 3 km to 4.5 km start here.
A hiking sign of the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park (formerly Homert) set up there provides orientation assistance.
