Not far from the "Müsener Schlag" refuge, also known as "Wigrow", is the present-day border between the Siegerland and Sauerland regions. This used to be the old border crossing between Nassau-Siegen and Kurköln, the so-called Kölsche Heck. Remains of the old land hedge, boundary stones and impressive hollow paths, which are evidence of old trade relations, can still be seen today. More information here.

Further hiking options:
A 3 (3.2 km): Short loop along the Dollenbruch stream, between the"Dollenbruch" and "Teufelsbruch" nature reserves.
A 4 (3.5 km): Family-friendly loop around the Breitenberg.
A5 (2.3 km): Walk through the Italian Corner.
A 7 (7.2 km): the trail runs along the Dollenbruch stream and then through theDollenbruch nature reserve to the Vorspanneiche. It then continues below the Wimberg to the Obförsterweg. After crossing the country road, the trail leads past Addebach and below the Breitenberg back to the refuge.
