On site there are numerous parking spaces that offer an ideal starting point for hikes in the direction of the dam wall or the Himmelpforten monument.
The dam wall of the Möhne reservoir can be reached on foot from here and the walk along the balancing pond of the lake offers impressive views of the heavy structure. Various circular hiking trails have their starting point here.
