Here, nature directs: "Blinker II" is a light kinetic sculpture by artist Timm Ulrichs, consisting of a steel framework, 1,000 x 1183.5 cm, with 196 movably suspended polished stainless steel mirrors, each 50 x 83 cm. The individual panels as well as the total area of the slatted wall, 719.5 x 1183.5 cm, correspond in their proportions to a standard movie screen. On it, the natural elements of light and air, the sun and the wind, as well as the sky and the earth, are presented in an atmospheric natural spectacle of infinite variety (similar to the Cuxhaven tidal object "Blinker I" from 1982, made of floating-mobile water mirrors).
