Chimneys rising from the forest floor, a weathervane, gates made of large stove forks, and a giant witch's cauldron surrounded by opened spell books in a small valley surrounded by paths - Lili Fischer occupies the place known from time immemorial as "Witches' Place" with the relics of a supposedly sunken witch village. Her work bears witness to the myth of the witch and transports hikers into a world of fairy tales and magic. At the same time, however, it also draws attention to the real cruel persecution of people during the time of the witch trials: on the other side of the valley is the "interrogation place", where once alleged witches were sentenced to death.
