The Hanseatic town of Medebach is located in the eastern part of the Sauerland, at the foot of the Rothaargebirge mountains, and offers a varied vacation program with its 9 districts.
The Hanseatic town of Medebach was first mentioned in a document in 1144. Although some tragic events during its more than 875-year history have changed the townscape of Medebach considerably, there are still many reminders of earlier days in the winding alleyways and streets. The St. Peter and Paul parish church is the third largest church in the archdiocese of Paderborn. A visit inside the church is highly recommended.
In addition to Medebach's history and traditions, the scenic location, plenty of sunshine and numerous sports and leisure facilities, such as the AVENTURA - SpielBerg, invite you to enjoy a carefree, relaxing and active vacation in the midst of unspoilt nature.
You can explore the region around Medebach on numerous well-signposted cycling and hiking trails.
For example, treat yourself to a little time out with extensive forays into our Medebach Bay nature reserve!
