From Bad Laasphe, a well-maintained asphalt cycle path takes you first to Laaspherhütte and then through beautiful meadow landscapes via Herbertshausen to Banfe. After a short climb in the village, the tour leads above the Banfe valley to the turn-off to Hesselbach at the "Großer Bohnstein". After a break in Hesselbach, the route climbs steadily for around 2 km up to the Spreitzkopf. To reward yourself for the climb, take a detour to the wind turbines on the hilltop, which offer a fantastic view over the Wittgensteiner Land region. The tour then continues with beautiful views down into the Wabach valley and to the Ditzrod forester's lodge and then through the Gennernbach valley back to Bad Laasphe.
