The tour starts from Rüthen and heads north-east towards Büren. At first, the route leads slightly downhill through the farmland. From Büren, there are repeated shorter climbs until you reach the beautifully situated Aabachtalsperre dam.
After cycling around it, the route continues via Bleiwäsche into the Almetal valley and via the Ringelstein forest with a final, somewhat longer ascent back to Rüthen.
Rüthen - Büren - Fürstenberg - Bleiwäsche - Nieder-Alme - Ringelstein - Kneblinghausen - Rüthen
