The route leads through the fields to the north of Brilon via Alme and Harth with only a moderate ascent to Bad Wünnenberg.

Through the Aabachtal valley we reach the dam wall of the Aabachtalsperre and, after a steep climb, the village of Bleiwäsche. Finally, small roads lead via Brilon-Nehden back to the open and bright countryside near Brilon.

From the west: A1 to Dortmund/Unna junction - then A44 to Werl junction - then A445/A46 and B480 to BrilonFrom the north: Hanover - A2 to Bielefeld interchange - A33 to Wünnenberg-Haaren interchange and continue on the B480 to BrilonFrom the east: A44 Kassel to the Wünnenberg-Haaren interchange and continue on the B480 to Brilon or exit at the Marsberg junction and continue on the B7 to BrilonFrom the south: to Kassel and continue on the A44 to the Wünnenberg-Haaren junction or exit at the Marsberg junction and continue on the B7 to Brilon
