From Bremberg, we first head towards Kahler Asten. We pass the most famous mountain in the Sauerland almost at full height and then cycle on through Neuastenberg into the valley and uphill to Mollseifen. A detour to the weather station at the Astenturm is always worthwhile. From Mollseifen, the route continues through the forest with a few gentle climbs to Trambach. From here, we follow the border to Hessen until we reach Hallenberg after a rapid descent. From Hallenberg to Liesen, the trail leads us through the fields, before climbing steadily through the forest again from Liesen to Winterberg. However, the hardest climb comes shortly after Liesen.
