Bike Arena Tour No. 41

From the starting point, the "Hachtor", you first ride a short distance through the historic city center of Rüthen in the direction of the cemetery. This is located on the grounds of the town's former castle. Directly in front of the cemetery, turn right down the Borgberg and continue in the valley of the Kitzelbach. After crossing the B 516 and the Möhne River, the tour leads in an easterly direction parallel to the Möhne River to the Hankerfeld industrial park, from there through the picturesquely situated "Bibertal", past the open-air swimming pool to the beginning of the "Bibertal Forest Adventure Trail". Here the route branches off to the right. It goes up into the city forest of Rüthen. You ride a longer distance along the Höhenweg. Shortly before the Brilon city forest, you turn left onto the cross path down into the Upper Bibertal, up again on the opposite side and then downhill again into the Möhnetal. The B 516 is crossed again and you go up the Hengelsbachtal on the opposite side. At the border to Büren (Historischer Schnadstein / border to the districts Soest-Paderborn-Hochsauerlandkreis) the route first goes left up the hill to turn left after 400m in the direction of the valley. After another 400m the route branches off to the northwest and leads below the mountain range of the Immenköpfe to the K 45. Follow this uphill and at the edge of the forest you will reach the turnoff to the "Römerlager Kneblinghausen". Immediately behind it are the horse paddocks of the "Gestüt Wittekindshof", one of the most successful stud farms in Germany. You continue north until shortly before the industrial park Meiste, which you drive around on the left side. West of the village of Meiste you follow the cycle path to the starting point in the center of Rüthen.
