Cycle route tour from Bad Berleburg to Hilchenbach

You can reach Bad Berleburg by train; bicycles can be taken along free of charge. First, you should plan time for a stroll through Bad Berleburg with a visit to Berleburg Castle. Then set off towards Hilchenbach. Cycle along Schloßstraße in the direction of Raumland. There you leave the road to the right towards Berghausen, at the end of which you turn left towards Altmühlbachtal K47 and then left again towards Birkefehl and Birkelbach. In Birkelbach-Ortsmittel, keep left and drive to Womelsdorf and on to Erndtebrück. At the traffic circle, follow the road to Benfe, which will take you to Eisenstraße. Turn right there and you will pass the Hohenroth forester's lodge. Time for a leisurely break at the deer enclosure or in the Café Waldland (open at weekends and on public holidays). Now it's back to Lützel and via the Gillerbergstraße into the Ginsberger Heid nature reserve. You should definitely climb the Giller tower at the top of the mountain; the view from there is fantastic. Now it's finally all downhill. Another stop at Ginsburg Castle, which can be visited from dawn until dusk. This view is also magnificent and should definitely be included in your plans. Follow the cycle path signs via Vormwald station back to Hilchenbach. In the town center, numerous restaurants invite you to enjoy a well-earned refreshment.
