In the middle of Germany, you will enjoy peace and relaxation along the entire route in a varied river landscape and discover culture and eventful histories. Experience how the clear water of the Diemel pours from the bubbling spring into the stream bed and then develops into a real river. Ride from Usseln through the beautiful wooded region of the Diemelsee Nature Park to the first overnight stop at Heringhausen on the shores of Lake Diemelsee without any major climbs.

There is plenty of entertainment on offer at Lake Diemelsee: passenger boat trips, the Adventure Golf Park, the Visionarium Heringhausen Nature Park Center, the Heringhausen lido and the Heringhausen family and adventure pool are all waiting to be discovered by you. In the next few days, the route continues via Marsberg, Warburg, Trendelburg to Bad Karlshafen on the Weser.

The river bike path is relaxed to ride on a weekend.
