Enjoy an easy tour with fantastic views over the lake and dreamy, quiet bays. There are plenty of places to stop for refreshments along the way.
The cycle tour starts in Sundern and first leads along the "Röhr", past "Gut Selmke" and onto the dam of the Sorpetalsperre. Along the way, you have beautiful views of the Sorpesee, can visit the Kyrillwald forest or rest on one of the many benches and enjoy the tranquillity of nature.
After the bridge between the reservoir and the Sorpesee, the cycle path leads along the L687 to Langscheid. Here you can enjoy the beautifully landscaped Sorpe promenade. From the lake stage, you cycle over the dam of the Sorpetalsperre and enjoy the view of the lake or to the left into the valley of the equalizing reservoir and the power station. The way back to Sundern is the same as the way there.
The cycle tour starts at the police parking lot. You can park in the rear area without restrictions. You leave the parking lot towards the pedestrian zone, cross the bridge to the left and turn right directly behind it into the "Rentnerweg" along the "Röhr". This path will now take you to Stemel to "Gut Selmke". Watch out! You have to turn left briefly up the hill and then immediately right again, otherwise you will end up at the sewage treatment plant. At "Gut Selmke", keep left, then left again at the fork and a decent climb takes you up to the dam of the Sorpetalsperre. A great view of the Sorpesee compensates for the effort. Now follow the path for 9 km to the boat landing stage in Amecke. Along the way, you will regularly have beautiful views of the Sorpesee, can visit the Kyrillwald forest or take a rest on one of the many benches in the dreamy bays and enjoy the tranquillity of nature.Once you arrive at the landing stage in Amecke, turn right and cross the bridge between the forebay and the Sorpesee. At the end of the bridge, you can choose to turn left onto the "Airlebnisweg" and try a loop around the forebay with its many "Airlebnispunkte". The route is then 3 km longer. There are also several places to stop for refreshments here. Otherwise, turn right after the bridge and follow the cycle path along the L687 to Langscheid. Here you can enjoy the beautifully landscaped Sorpe promenade and have a refreshing drink on one of the many terraces of the restaurants or enjoy the delicious regional cuisine. From the lake stage, cross the dam of the Sorpetalsperre and enjoy the view of the lake or, to the left, of the equalizing reservoir and the power station. The way back to Sundern is the same as the way there.
