Moehnesee-Koerbecke
The great Möhnesee tour leads through the three types of landscape that characterize the municipality of Möhnesee: Meadows, water and forest. The center of the municipality is the Möhnesee. The main lake with its tributary Möhne stretches in east-west direction over a length of about 10 km through the Möhnetal. Along the northern shore you will find a wide range of restaurants, recreational facilities and other tourist amenities. The southern part of the lake with the Heve as a tributary is partly under nature protection and is an important breeding and resting place for many species of water birds. South of the lake begins the extensive Arnsberg Forest.
