- Round trip
This rather easy and relatively short tour from Hallenberg is the perfect start to a road bike weekend in the Sauerland. Because on the first day you shouldn't strain your legs too much. Who knows what's to come?

The name is no coincidence: the route is not too technically difficult, making it the perfect way to open the racing bike weekend. Over a good 45 kilometers into the Wittgensteiner Land region, cyclists get their "engine" up to operating temperature.
The first section from Hallenberg through the lovely Nuhnetal valley to the Bundesgold village of Züschen is rather leisurely. Pretty half-timbered and slate houses characterize the townscape there. The tour leads over gentle undulations to Girkhausen: the village is famous for its 13th century pilgrimage church.
The climb just before Bad Berleburg up to Wunderthausen really works the calves. By then, the racing cyclists are almost in Hessen and have really run themselves in by then. To "cool down", they simply let themselves go on the last few kilometers back to Hallenberg.
