No less than three rivers are at the center of this round. At the most famous of them, the Ruhr, the round starts in Bestwig. It leads over first on a former railroad line, called "Bähnchen", via Heringhausen to Ramsbeck. The tour continues steadily uphill through the Valmetal to Bödefeld.
Initially, the route follows a cycle path from Westernbödefeld along the country road, but leaves it at Höringhausen. Over a crisp climb near Köttinghausen you reach several windmills. Later, the route descends gently into the Ruhrtal. At Remblinghausen the road is crossed again and the tour leads via Löllinghausen back to Meschede, where you meet the third river, the Henne, which flows as an outflow of the Hennetalsperre through a beautifully landscaped park into the Ruhr.
There you can make a detour to the Hennesee and gather new strength during a rest before returning to Bestwig via the RuhrtalRadweg through Meschede and Wehrstapel.

Safty guidelines
A rescue point system is installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis district, Märkischer Kreis district, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district).
