Over 7 kilometers, you climb out of the Lennetal valley into the Rothaargebirge mountains. The gradient of the climb is very even and therefore very pleasant to ride. The view during the ride is also pleasant. Especially at the parking lot just before the last serpentine bend, you should stop and pause for a moment. The view back into the Lenne valley and of the Hunau is exceptional. Once you reach the crest of the Rothaargebirge, you can either continue the undulating ride towards Winterberg or take the beautiful descent into Siegerland towards Bad Berleburg
In the upper section, metal rails have been applied to the asphalt in several places. They are intended to calm motorcycle traffic. In general, motorcycle traffic is not insignificant, especially on nice weekends.
Take the train to Lennestadt-Altenhundem station or Meschede station. From there you can continue by bus.
From Schmallenberg, follow the B236 in the direction of Schmallenberg-Oberkirchen.
Parking is available at the Oberkirchen elementary school.
