During the tour, visitors will get a comprehensive impression of the formation of the mountains, the formation of the copper deposit, the mining methods and working conditions, as well as the smelting of the ores.
A guided tour lasts on average about 2 hours; depending on the number of participants and special interests, it can be shorter or longer. It is recommended to wear warm clothing and sturdy shoes during the tour.
The tour includes a ride on the mine train.
Opening hours:
Guided tours take place from April - October every Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm.
Additionally during the NRW vacations every Wednesday at 2 p.m.
Group tours (such as school trips, children's birthday parties, club and company outings) can be booked daily throughout the year by appointment for groups of 10 or more.
