The 26 m high tower is located 387 m above sea level and 133 m above the city center. It was completed in 1892 and is a round tower modeled on a Rhenish castle and part of the wave typical of the time of creating distinctive landscape points in the course of the tourist development of the low mountain ranges. The tower with a crenellated cross above a high quarry stone base on an eight-sided ground plan was erected at the intercession of the later mayor Dr. Rentzing. On 25.06.2007 it was registered in the monument list of the city of Marsberg.
From the area you have an excellent view, the tower is open in the summer months.
