The Heimathaus Plettenberg is located in the historic city center of Plettenberg. It houses a small but worth seeing museum, which deals with the founding of the town and especially with the industrial tradition of the town of Plettenberg. In a separate exhibition area, there are also special historical exhibitions or art exhibitions.
It is the 'headquarters' of the association activities of the Heimatkreis Plettenberg. The association uses the house for meetings, gatherings, lectures and as an archive for its diverse collection of historically valuable pieces from industry, home and agriculture as well as its extensive collection of writings.
The Heimatkreis looks after the museum on a voluntary basis and provides staff for guided tours.
