Hiking experiences in the Trufte valley
The A 3 starts at the "Trufterhain" hiking parking lot and is a beautiful 7.5 km circular tour that leads uphill and downhill around the Burgfeld and offers fantastic views along the way. Mainly on forest paths, the hiking trail first leads along the Trufte into the tranquil valley of the same name before heading uphill to the Schützenplatz. At the site of the annual bird shooting, you have time for a break and a view of Bad Berleburg's Altstadt. You finally return to the starting point along the Ruheforst forest. From here, you can also hike around the Windbrachekopf(A 4; 7.5 km), into the Wittengenstein Panorama Trail or the nature park jewel Forest Sculpture Trail(23 km) with its eleven sculptures along the way, including the Golden Egg. Young hikers can enter a 6 km long fairytale world not far from the parking lot. fairytale world of the Brothers Grimm.
