The Hochheide hiking parking lot is a suitable starting point for wonderful hikes on the Rothaarsteig. For example, you can walk through the Schwarzbachtal nature reserve to the Rhein-Weser-Turm (lookout tower, restaurants) or head south via the Dreiherrnstein and the Ferndorf spring to the Ginsburg (lookout tower; refreshments available).
A shorter circular tour is offered by the designated hiking trail A4, which leads to the Sauerland Seelenort "Schwarzbachtal bei Haus Schwarz". You can find lots of interesting facts about the hiking area between Heinsberg Heid, Schwarzbachtal and Dreiherrnstein on "Grenzgeschichten hautnah" - just listen in!
